๐ HOW FAST IS YOUR CONNECTION? DOWNLOAD TIME CALCULATOR
Select your plan speed below to see how long common downloads take. Compare and see why faster is always better!
Your Plan Speed:
200 Mbps
* Download times are theoretical maximums based on plan speed and do not account for server speed, Wi-Fi signal, number of devices, network congestion, protocol overhead (typically 10โ15%), or router limitations. 1 MB = 8 Mb for calculation purposes.
โ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a Megabit and how is it different from a Megabyte?
A Megabit (Mb) is 1/8th of a Megabyte (MB). Internet speeds are measured in Megabits per second (Mbps). So a 100 Mbps connection can theoretically download 12.5 Megabytes per second. Most files are measured in Megabytes, so divide your plan speed by 8 to get your approximate MB/s download rate.
What is the difference between DOCSIS 3.0 and DOCSIS 3.1?
DOCSIS 3.1 supports downstream speeds up to 10 Gbps using OFDM modulation across wider 192 MHz channels, while DOCSIS 3.0 tops out at approximately 1.2 Gbps using bonded QAM channels. Our network is DOCSIS 3.1 capable on select nodes.
Do I need to buy a modem or can I rent one?
You may rent a modem from us for $9.99โ$16.99/month depending on your plan, or purchase your own DOCSIS 3.0 or 3.1 approved modem. Please refer to our approved modem list (PDF, 847 KB) before purchasing. Unapproved modems are not supported.
How do I configure my email client to use TurboNetCONNECT email?
Incoming (POP3): mail.turbonetconnect.net, Port 110. Incoming (IMAP): imap.turbonetconnect.net, Port 143. Outgoing (SMTP): smtp.turbonetconnect.net, Port 25 (or 587). Please disable SSL for best compatibility with Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail.
Why is my internet slow at night?
Cable internet is a shared medium. During peak hours (typically 7โ11pm), network congestion may affect speeds as more subscribers in your node utilize bandwidth simultaneously. This is a normal characteristic of HFC infrastructure and is not considered an outage.
Do you support Windows Vista?
TurboNetCONNECT supports Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, and Windows 11. Mac OS X 10.6 and above is also supported. Linux users should consult our community forums. Our setup CD requires a CD-ROM drive.
